Emory’s AI ethics Certificate with global expert

As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to revolutionize industries, Emory Continuing Education (ECE) is proud to offer The Ethical Path to AI: Navigating Strategies for Innovation and Integrity, a certificate program that explores the responsible use of emerging technologies. The course was designed by Emory’s Center for Ethics. This six-week, asynchronous online program equips professionals with the knowledge to identify ethical challenges, assess risk, and implement AI systems aligned with integrity and fairness.
Anne-Elisabeth Courrier is the driving force behind this initiative. She designed and launched the course and has organized numerous international conferences, seminars, and workshops at Emory. Courrier’s expertise is globally rooted—she earned a PhD in law from the University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, in collaboration with Oxford University. Courrier is also Emory’s newly appointed AI Ethics Liaison, bringing extensive expertise in law, data, AI ethics, and governance. A strategic thinker with a passion for shaping ethical AI systems, she is leading efforts to integrate ethical frameworks into Emory’s educational offerings. Her appointment reflects Emory’s commitment to engaging critically with emerging technologies while advancing human values.
In the AI Ethics course offered through ECE, learners participate in applied projects, including the development of an AI ethical risk assessment plan tailored to their organizations. The course is ideal for professionals in tech, law, healthcare, education, HR, and government who seek to lead responsibly in an AI-powered future.
This program reflects ECE’s mission to offer innovative, accessible learning opportunities that meet real-world demands. For organizations and individuals seeking to lead with responsibility and vision in a rapidly evolving digital world, The Ethical Path to AI is a timely and essential resource.
