LEARNING OUTCOMES
After successfully completing this certificate program, students will be able to:
- Describe the key concepts, tools, and techniques of project management
- Interpret and apply a sample project management methodology to their projects and organization
- Describe the project manager’s role in each of the competency areas
- Develop a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Develop and explain the importance of the Statement of Work (SOW)
- Create a schedule and identify and manage the Critical Path
- Establish a budget and total cost baseline for measuring project performance
- Apply common tools and techniques to manage project communications, including negotiation, conflict management and resolution
- Utilize techniques to identify and respond to project risks
Our program focuses on teaching students the skills they need to be effective project managers with the knowledge employers value. While our program will satisfy the 35 hours required to sit for the PMP exam, this is not a test prep course.
Test prep courses do not focus on practical application and, instead, help students prioritize where to focus their study efforts. Students planning to sit for the PMP exam should expect to invest a minimum of 70 hours of independent study time whether a test prep course is taken or not.

CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
To receive the certificate, students must:
- Attend at least 80% of the class sessions
- Earn an average score of 75% or higher on the post-module quizzes
