Our Lean Six Sigma White Belt provides the practical knowledge and concepts for process improvement.  Students will acquire the essential Lean concepts, including waste identification and the DMAIC Process (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control). The course is six hours of hands-on classroom experience to help increase your skills and knowledge as an individual contributor and/or enhance your directing and strategic planning for high level managers and executives.

The Online Lean Six Sigma Green Belt is a blend of self paced review of the body of knowledge and live, instructor-led virtual classroom sessions. Students will need internet access to engage with content, fellow students, and the instructor for skill mastery.

Our hybrid Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program includes approximately 3 hours of online study and 24 hours (4 days) in the classroom. Courses are packed with applied exercises and real-world case studies designed to simulate the steps you would take in a real-world Lean Six Sigma project, thereby improving your learning experience. As a Green Belt candidate you will need to complete all online and in class coursework and pass Emory's Green Belt exam with a minimum score of 75 percent.

Our Lean Six Sigma Black Belt includes 64 hours (8 days) in the classroom, supplemental online material, and statistical and graphical analysis exercises. In addition, you are required to develop and complete an independent project based on a real business challenge. To obtain an Emory Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificate, you will need to complete all online and in class coursework, an individual project and pass Emory's Black Belt exam with a minimum score of 75 percent.

Healthcare professionals: build your career with advanced training in our Lean Six Sigma for Healthcare Professionals course, designed to provide the tools and techniques for the application of Six Sigma projects in the healthcare industry. Learn immediately-applicable methodologies via guided discussion, scenario-based assessments, and practical exercises, designed in collaboration with a team of Emory Healthcare experts. The course format consists of two days in the classroom with a total of 12 hours.

White Belt Certification is the minimum requirement to enroll in the Lean Six Sigma for Healthcare Professionals course. Students who will lead and manage Six Sigma projects are encouraged to complete the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate as a prerequisite.

Emory Continuing Education requires a Green Belt Certification in order to enroll in the Black Belt Certificate Program.

All Black Belt students are required to bring a laptop to class. Black Belt students must also provide their own project.
