OLLI at Emory

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at Emory is a lifelong learning program for seasoned adults who enjoy learning for fun. At OLLI, the thirst for knowledge never ends, with classes and social programs that nourish the mind, body, and soul. Zoom Course Support

Having trouble accessing your online OLLI course on Zoom? Please review the tabs below.

Students have to sign into a Zoom account to join all of our class meetings. If you do not have a Zoom account, you will need to create a free Zoom account in order to participate in the class. You have two options:

  1. You can create a free account by entering your email and setting up a password. (Option 1)
  2. You can create a Zoom account by logging in with Facebook or Google. (Option 2)
Please create your Zoom account at least 1 day prior to the start of your class so that you are able to join the class on class day(s).

Create a New Zoom Account

The instructions for creating a new Zoom account are below.

  1. Go to
  2. Enter your birthdate for verification, if asked.
  3. Enter your personal email address when asked for your "
  4. Click Sign Up
  5. You will receive an email from Zoom ( In this email, click Activate Account. (You may need to copy and paste the activation URL into your browser to activate your account.)
  6. On the page that opens up in your web browser, enter your first and last names, as well as a password for your account.
  7. Skip inviting others to join Zoom, if asked. 
  8. Once your account has been created, download Zoom.

Sign in with Facebook or Google

If you do not want to create a new account to use with Zoom, you can sign up to use Zoom by signing into either your Facebook or Google accounts, if applicable. This is recommended if you prefer to have fewer accounts and passwords.

The first option, Sign in with SSO, is meant for people who have a Zoom account through their employer. Choose from the latter two options, Sign in with Facebook or Sign in with Google, and follow the instructions below.

Weekday Support

If you have difficulty joining your meeting on the day of your course, our Enrollment Services team Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at 404-727-6000 (select option 2).

Join a Meeting on Mobile

Joining a meeting from your phone or tablet works differently than joining on your computer from a link sent to your email. 

  1. Open the Zoom mobile app. If you have not downloaded the Zoom mobile app yet, you can download it from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, or from Amazon for your Kindle Fire. Instructions for this process are provided in the next section. 
  2. Sign in to your account. If you do not have a Zoom account, you will need to follow the instructions on other tabs to create an account. 
  3. Click Join and enter the meeting ID number you were sent in your course reminder email. Zoom will also allow you to change your display name, which is helpful if you share an account. 
  4. Select if you would like to connect audio and/or video and select Join or Join Meeting.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Go to the OLLI website and click on Courses to see all of the classes, dates and times.
  2. Click on the class name (i.e. Great Decisions) and then click add to cart.
  3. To add more classes from the list, click the back button (←) at the top left of the screen.
  4. After adding courses, click check out.
  5. Log in using a previously created account or create a new account (if necessary, click forgot my password). Make sure all fields are completed (i.e. address, phone, etc.).
  6. Click make payment, follow prompts to pay.
  7. Click continue to display the confirmation page.
  8. Click continue to receive a confirmation receipt via email.
Note: Membership discounts will not appear until you click check out!

The majority of courses (unless otherwise noted) are held at Emory Continuing Education, which is located at 2635 Century Pkwy NE, Suite 300, Atlanta, GA 30345.

OLLI students and instructors may park in the open-air lot directly in front of the building. Deck parking is reserved for the employees of Century Center tenants.

No, but it is required to take advantage of the membership discounts on OLLI courses.

You will receive an email from Emory Continuing Education confirming your class selections.

The flat fee for each 4-week course is $50 (members) and $100 (non-members). On occasion, fees may be accessed. Those fees may be:

  • Administrative fees: Cover rental costs for offsite spaces.
  • Instructor fees: Covers honorarium for specialized instructors for specific courses or topics.
  • Supply fees: Covers materials required for certain classes.

Courses typically begin on the first Monday of each month (with the exception of holidays).
