Biography

Robert Castellani

Bob is a graduate of Hobart College, BA 1963, and an honor society graduate of Emory Law school, JD 1966. He did private practice of law for six years, a former Assistant Attorney General of Georgia from 1967-1973, a former 1st Assistant U.S. Attorney , Northern District of Georgia from 1976-1982, a U.S. magistrate for Northern District of Georgia from 1982-1984, and a superior court judge Stone Mountain Judicial Circuit from 1984- 2010. At present, he serves as a senior judge for the State of Georgia. As an attorney, Judge Castellani tried criminal and civil cases in state and federal courts, has argued appellate cases in the United States Supreme Court and the Georgia Supreme Court as well as numerous federal circuit courts. He has taught law at Emory Law School as an adjunct professor and has spoken at many judicial and legal conferences. He believes the circle of life is to learn and teach.
