Melanie Prasad-Dehaney



Melanie  Prasad-DehaneyMelanie is a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), who is passionate about helping people identify what is truly important to them so they can explore their personal pathways to create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives. Melanie has a Master of Science in Developmental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University and over 25 years of experience working with diverse populations including people with disabilities, professional athletes, medical and business professionals. Her experience is primarily in mental health, clinical research, higher education, curriculum development and coaching. She considers herself equal parts teacher, coach, and lifelong learner. Melanie is currently a student in the Ed.D. Learning, Leadership and Organization Development program at the University of Georgia. Melanie has been an instructor and mentor with the Emory Health and Wellness coaching program since 2015 and was a student in the very first cohort in 2014. She has also completed the Wellcoaches core training and Koru mindfulness teacher training. She coaches in a variety of settings including behavioral telehealth and corporate wellness. Melanie also provides coaching and consulting services through her own agency, Design It... LIVE IT!!!, for individuals and organizations in the U.S. and Canada. Melanie is an Adjunct Psychology Instructor at Gwinnett Technical College, recognized as the Adjunct Instructor of the Year in 2017 and nominated again in 2019. She currently serves on the Program Approval Commission for the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and is also on the NBHWC's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Task Force. Melanie has served on several committees with the National Board of Medical Examiners, writing, reviewing and approving exam questions for the National Board Certification Exam for the NBHWC.
