Arlene Appelrouth

Arlene earned a bachelor’s degree in news-editorial journalism from the University of Florida and has studied memoir writing for 8 years with the nationally acclaimed teacher and author Natalie Goldberg. Arlene’s experience as a writer ranges from working as a journalist, to more than a decade of personal writing. She is an experienced investigative reporter, women’s editor and editor of a corporate publication. She has also written documentaries for several non-profits in Atlanta. Currently, Arlene is a free-lance writer and a regular columnist for the Atlanta Jewish Times. Her column, “According to Arlene” is published every other week. She has been teaching writing for 8 years, in various settings including several private high schools.
