Biography

Pam Glustrom

Originally from Miami, Pam graduated from Auburn University with a BSEd in Special Education, Emotional Disturbances. She completed graduate work at the University of Georgia obtaining a MEd in Special Education. Pam taught children with special needs for 8 years first at Sexton Woods Psychoeducational Center and then at CPC Parkwood Hospital, both in Atlanta. She volunteered with the Georgia Council on Child Abuse for 10 years in a variety of roles including group leader for Parents Anonymous, which was a support group for parents struggling with abuse issues. She served on and then chaired the Parent Support Advisory Committee and also became a certified Parent Educator. Pam has served on several independent school boards including Morningside Day Out and Cliff Valley School, serving as co-chair and chairperson, respectively. She also served on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee at the Paideia School. Since 2006, Pam has volunteered with a number of non-profit organizations including Shepherd Center, Jewish Family and Career Services, International Rescue Committee, Literacy Volunteers of Atlanta and First Presbyterian Church. She is married with 3 grown children, and her leisure activities include tennis, yoga, running, reading and traveling.
