Biography

Kelly Lohr

Kelly is a 4th year PhD candidate in the Neuroscience Program at Emory University in Dr. Gary Miller’s lab. Her dissertation research studies the genetic resistance to environmental factors that contribute to Parkinson’s disease. She is an NRSA fellow and an ORDER teaching fellow. She taught 2 seminar courses at Emory “Exposed: Environmental Influences and How They Shape Us”. She is particularly interested in the genetic and environmental factors that make us more or less susceptible to neurodegenerative disease.
