Adobe Photoshop Level 1: Introduction

Pictures help give any report, presentation, or website a professional edge, and Photoshop is the industry standard for working with digital images. During this class you will learn to create and edit your own digital graphics and photographs. This hands-on course discusses image formats, color correction, retouching digital photos, working with layers, advanced selection techniques, and using various editing tools. You will also learn how several quick fix techniques and how to prepare for both print and web output.

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
  1. Retouch images by removing, replacing, and correcting details
  2. Work with layers, including applying styles and filters
  3. Enhance and modify images with masks and channels

HTML and CSS Level 1: Introduction

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are inseparable languages that together describe the structure and display of pages on the World Wide Web. Our foundation course introduces you to the syntax and explores techniques using both languages to create and format headings, body text, hyperlinks, images, tables, forms and more. Build your skills using hands-on techniques to develop the core components of an impactful and useful web presence.

HTML and CSS Level 2: Intermediate

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) are what give your Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) web pages their polish and beautiful appearance. Our advanced course takes you beyond front end design techniques allowing you to learn to control the format and layout of elements on web pages using CSS stylesheets.

You’ll also learn to control the format and layout of elements on web pages using CSS stylesheets. Toward the end of the class you'll do several multi-column page layouts with an embedded video element. You can’t design professional websites without knowing these critical technologies.

After this class, you will be able to:
  • Organize large areas of a web page using HTML div tags and HTML5 structure elements
  • Produce a 2-column web page using floated elements, absolute positioning and CSS table layout
  • Structure a 2-column web page using three different techniques
  • Identify web pages with fluid, fixed and jello layouts, and the strengths and weaknesses of each approach
  • Construct a responsive web page using a CSS framework
