Flexible/Convenient Format

Emory's Certificate in Management Essentials is formatted with working professionals in mind. The program is offered in an accelerated format, allowing you to complete the certificate quickly without disrupting your busy lives. The first class meets from 9:00am to 4:30pm with lunch provided. After that, classes meet one afternoon per week. In addition, class sessions are scheduled around the busy month-end closing typical in many businesses and corporations.  Elective courses for the program can be scheduled at your convenience, as long as you complete the requirements for the certificate within one year of your first class.


Certificate Requirements


Participants must complete the core modules and 24 or more elective hours chosen from a wide range of courses available. Some options are listed below. If an elective course has a prerequisite, then the prerequisite course must be completed first. If work and personal schedules permit, participants may take core and elective courses concurrently. The certificate program must be completed within one year of enrollment.

1) Core Modules - Emory Certificate in Management Essentials

Candidates must complete the core course with a total of 27 hours.  These include all required skills and abilities and are registered for as an entire course containing the following modules:

*Elective courses may be taken as available and may be taken concurrently with the core courses. Some elective courses have prerequisites. Participants may also select electives in an area of specialization – for example International Business Operations. Specializations within electives are appropriately noted on the participant’s certification.
