The Emory Paralegal Certificate Program is a non-credit certificate program designed to advance the legal skills and career options of professionals in the paralegal industry. Admission into the program requires a 4-year undergraduate degree. This ensures that all of our paralegal certificate graduates are not only qualified for employment after they graduate but also prepared for the level of training offered at Emory.

  • Over 120 hours of learning in an 8-week accelerated or 6-month comprehensive program
  • Excellent resources including, textbooks, access to an online educational portal, and student access to the Westlaw legal research database
  • Students develop a "client" file and produce work documents based on their specific case, including their billable hours

Emory University’s Paralegal Certificate Program focuses on the practical skills and knowledge used in the professional legal workplace. Our intense six month post-baccalaureate program allows you to quickly and confidently complete your studies and enter the paralegal field. Meanwhile, the variety of formats we offer, including evening, weekend, and daytime formats, allows you to attend classes at a time that is convenient for you.

Our program consists of six modules including Introduction to Law, Criminal Law, Legal Research & Writing, Civil Litigation, Contract Law, and Debtor & Creditor Law for a total of over 120 class room hours.

You will find our program to be a thorough and challenging curriculum that will prepare you to work as an elite paralegal professional.

Who will be teaching you?
