Do you provide assistance with job placement after the program?

We provide career development during the program, such as seminars on resume writing, interviewing techniques, etc. Students are required to pass all tests and assignments, including all career development assignments. We share job and volunteer opportunities with our current students and graduates via email newsletter. The paralegal profession is competitive, and we encourage all students who are new to the legal profession to obtain "hands on" experience as soon as possible, even if it is only on a volunteer basis.

I am switching careers. Will I be able to keep up?

Make no mistake - the legal profession is demanding. Just as an attorney expects a lot from their paralegal, we expect a lot from our students; enthusiasm, professionalism, and a desire to learn. You must have basic computer skills, and good written and oral communication skills. You should plan to study for a minimum of one hour for each hour you spend in class each week.

Do you have financial aid?

As our program is a non-credit continuing education course, it does not qualify for any traditional financial aid such as Pell, Stafford, FASFA, etc.
Please click on the tab "Payment Options" for details about other payment options.

Are you ABA approved?

Our program is post-baccalaureate. ABA approval is not necessary. Our program delivers quality education, in a convenient format. Our instructors are licensed attorneys who bring "real world" experience to the classroom, and we encourage you to view their bios. The Emory name is widely-recognized, and our program has been in existence since 2005 and is the longest-running post-baccalaureate program in the region.

Is your program online?

Our program format is all in-class instruction. Although all instruction is in class, you will need a computer with high-speed internet access so you can receive emails and attachments, and take your exams via our Blackboard system. However, a laptop is not required for use in class. A notebook for taking notes is sufficient.
