Certificate Requirements

Participants must successfully complete the four Parts (1, 2, 3 and 4) of Emory's CIA program in order to earn the Emory CIA program certificate. (Please note, students must enroll in and pass The IIA's CIA exams independently of Emory's CIA course in order to earn the CIA certification.)

The four (4) course(s) are:

PART 1 - The Internal Audit Activity's Role in Governance, Risk & Control 16 CPEs
The cost is $695 and includes all printed materials, access to online tests and resources, and in-class instruction. The online materials are available for one (1) year.
PART 2 - Conducting the Internal Audit Engagement 16 CPEs
The cost is $695 and includes all printed materials, access to online tests and resources, and in-class instruction. The online materials are available for one (1) year.
PART 3 - Business Analysis and Information Technology 24 CPEs
The cost is $995 and includes all printed materials, access to online tests and resources, and in-class instruction. The online materials are available for one (1) year.
PART 4 - Business Management Skills 8 CPEs
The cost is $495 and includes all printed materials, access to online tests and resources, and in-class instruction. The online materials are available for one (1) year.

You may enroll in only the Parts you need and may take them in any order; for example, if you have already taken Part 1 and 3 of the CIA exam and only need to prepare for Parts 2 and 4, you are welcome to take only Parts 2 and 4. However, if you plan to take four Parts of Emory's CIA program, all four Parts must be completed within 12 months. Certified professional education units (CPEs) are also awarded to all students, however, we can only provide certificates stating CPEs earned for those students who attend every class, for example, Part 3 is held over 3 days, so you would have to attend all 3 days of class in order to obtain CPE.
