Although she was born in the U.S., Elizabeth Holtam lived for the first 27 years of her life overseas, first in Liberia and then in Italy. Her very first job was as an English teacher at the Collegio Moorat-Raphael (Armenian Boys' School) in Venice. She also gave private lessons and taught at other language schools during 10 years in Italy. Since returning to the U.S. Elizabeth has earned two Master's, one in Italian Literature and the other in Applied Linguistics/ESL. In addition to giving private lessons, Elizabeth has gained experience teaching at several Atlanta-based institutions, including Georgia Tech and Georgia Perimeter College.
