With almost 20 years of experience in person-centered planning, Melanie is passionate about helping people identify what is truly important to them and facilitating their discovery of pathways leading to greater health and wellness.
Melanie has worked with many diverse populations including people with physical, developmental and psychiatric disabilities, professional athletes, medical and business professionals. She spent several years coordinating hospital-based clinical research studies at Johns Hopkins University in the departments of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Neurology. She also provided hospital-based case management in the outpatient Sports Rehab clinic at Gwinnett Medical Center.
Melanie has a Master of Science in Developmental Psychology from Johns Hopkins University. She was in the first cohort of the Emory Health Coach Certificate program and prior to that, completed WellCoaches training. Melanie maintains a private coaching practice, Design It… LIVE IT!!! and is also a Behavioral Coach with AbilTo, providing one-on-one coaching for people recovering from or managing medical conditions, such as heart disease, depression, diabetes, anxiety and breast cancer as well as adjusting to life transitions, like the birth of a child. Melanie is also an Adjunct Instructor at Gwinnett Technical College in the Department of Psychology.
