Mark Eclavea is the Regional Operations Manager for Wells Fargo Insurance’s International Specialty Group (ISG). Based in Atlanta, GA, he is responsible for regulatory compliance and operations for international business flowing in and outside the U.S. through the four ISG service centers, located in Atlanta, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York City. As the Operations Manager for International, Mark works closely with the ISG National Practice Leader to ensure international relationships are profitable, compliant with local statutes, and fulfill the needs clients may have abroad. His role includes the vetting and contracting of international brokers, as well as the development of standard operating procedures, key service standards, operational controls, and the deployment of an international agency management system. Mark has over 20 years of operational, compliance and business experience. He joined Wells Fargo in 2013. Prior to that, he led operations for Assurant Specialty Property where Wells Fargo was his client, along with the other large U.S. banks in the lender-placed insurance space. Much of his past decade was spent developing and implementing process controls to support regulatory focus from Dodd Frank, DOJ, and the CFPB. During that time, Mark also led several process improvement projects resulting in millions of dollars in savings. He has collectively led or overseen almost 40 Green and Black Belt level projects. Prior to Assurant, Mark served as a consultant in the financial services industry and also held roles as Account Executive for a division of Lockton and Product Manager for BellSouth.
Mark earned a bachelor’s degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, and the Management Certificate from The Goizueta Business School. He serves on the Advisory Board for the Terry College of Business MIS Department
