Fundraising Certificate Program
In this competitive economy, successful fundraising requires a deep understanding of donors and the development of a diversified strategy to increase support. Our program will assist participants with understanding key motivations for charitable giving, primary sources of contributions, and practical steps for implementing an integrated, donor-centered development program.
Students can immediately begin to practice many of the essential elements of fundraising, including the importance of conveying a strong mission, the engagement of board members and volunteers, the establishment of fundraising goals and timelines, and the ability to cultivate individual donors for gifts. This intensive process includes developing powerful case statements with effective communications methods, successful gift appeals, and a comprehensive fundraising plan as part of the capstone experience.
After completing this program, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of philanthropy and define a variety of funding sources.
- Create a compelling mission and attract stakeholders.
- Appeal to foundations and corporations.
- Appeal to individual donors at all levels.
- Create a comprehensive fundraising plan.
