Certificate Program Requirements
No additional enrollment criteria are required and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. There is a $35 non-refundable application fee to enter the program. The application fee covers processing of the candidate’s application, and tracking the participant's progress through the program. Discounts do not apply to the application fee. All fees must be paid to before starting the Capstone Course. Tuition includes the cost of your textbooks. There is a $100 fee for supplies, billed at time of registration.
Students must complete five required courses and the final capstone project within 18 months from the start of the first course. All students must have basic computer skills and should be comfortable in a blended learning environment. All landscape design certificate program courses will be combination of classroom work and online work through Blackboard. Students should be proficient with scanning technology for the purpose of scanning hand-drawn designs to create electronic files.
Students must attend at least 80 percent of classes and complete all required course work with 80 percent proficiency before a certificate of completion can be issued. Although courses may be taken sporadically to accommodate your busy schedule, please make note of the prerequisites for some courses.
