Emory Certificate in Landscape Design Program
Evening at Emory believes that terms such as “green design” and “sustainability” serve as guiding principles of great landscape design, rather than just marketing rhetoric. As such, we have woven critical elements of sustainability throughout each class in our Landscape Design Certificate Program.
Students will learn how to:
- select plants that not just survive but thrive with less care and effort;
- shape the land to increase the benefits of rainfall;
- work with nature rather than against the elements in order to maximize results.
We use these green concepts not because they're trendy, but because it’s important for every landscape design project to enhance the beauty of our land and protect its precious resources. Sustainability just happens to be the new cornerstone of landscape design, as more and more homeowners seek out innovative designers who prefer to create stunning, picturesque settings with a net positive impact on our environment.
