Poetry Workshop: Poetry and the Personal
We all have stories to tell, and what better way than through poetry, where subtlety and subterfuge are the order of the day? In this class, we’ll read and discuss poems by established poets who’ve shared their process and their sources of inspiration in our textbook, Making Poems. You’ll learn how to use the elements of craft—form, meter, imagery, and strategic line breaks—to shape your words into a poem. No previous background in literature required.
