Project Management: Procurement Tools & Techniques

Description

Buying or selling products and/or services to support project execution requires legal agreements to administrate and coordinate these transactions. The Project Manager is typically the point of contact to develop, manage and control these procurement processes. Without proper procurement management the project and organization could be vulnerable to legal action for any contractual obligations.

In this course, participants will learn how to properly manage the lifecycle of the legal agreement, understand the role of the buyer and seller and tools and techniques to ensure fair and equitable settlement of the agreement.

After completing this program, participants will be able to:

  • Develop clear procedures on conducting Procurements
  • Recognize the various Contract Types and when to apply them
  • Apply techniques to negotiate a valid legal Agreement
  • Use the appropriate tools to control Procurements throughout the project lifecycle
